Justin approached LCDL with an clear idea of the design he wanted.  The main idea was to have a Union Jack and Bulldogs logo integrated into the design.  We began by using one of our existing templates to set these design features into.  We worked closely with Justin adjusting the design to his requirements and converting raster based logos to vector logos.

This is a good example of a jersey that is very client driven supposed to one that Laysick designs with minimal input from the client.

Shock version 2 jerseys was created due to sponsorship changes and new sponsors logos.  With these changes having to be done, we decided to take one of our new templates and fit it to there needs.  We knew the style of the team and needed to make the jersey fit to this, being one of the top pro teams in europe we wanted to make each top stand out very clearly.  The key to this was having the mesh under arm venting a red colour that gives flashes of colour when the team move around the field.

Another point we wanted to make stand out was the players names and numbers, allowing side line coaches and spectators to easily recognize each player.  If you have been lucky enough to see the exciting team play, you will agree these Jerseys look sick!

SoManc 2008 Jersey

Designer:SAM SMITH

Year:2008

Type:TEMPLATE FLEXX | LASICK 2008 CUSTOM PRO JERSEY

Features:36 PANEL CONSTRUCTION, HEAVY WEIGHT POLYESTER BODY, LIGHT WEIGHT HIP PANELS, UNDER ARM MESH VENTING & ELBOW PAD VENTING, ELBOW PADDING, SHOULDER PADDING, STRETCH NECK & CUFFS, THUMB HOLES, PIPING AND LAYSICK BRANDING.

SoManc is one of the Laysick family representing us in UK tournaments mainly in the North. After a very successful 2007 jersey, SoManc wanted to go for something completely different but stick with their logo which has become synonymous with the team.

After some conversations with the team, we decided on the olive colour to match the team’s DYE pants and set it off with bright lime green accents and extra dope silver shoulder and elbow pads.

London Laysick 2008

Team:London Laysick

Designer:Sam Smith

Year:2008

Type:TEMPLATE FLEXX 2 | LASICK 2008 CUSTOM PRO JERSEY

Features:36 PANEL CONSTRUCTION, HEAVY WEIGHT POLYESTER BODY, LIGHT WEIGHT HIP PANELS, UNDER ARM MESH VENTING & ELBOW PAD VENTING, ELBOW PADDING, SHOULDER PADDING, STRETCH NECK & CUFFS, THUMB HOLES, PIPING AND LAYSICK BRANDING.

Being our factory team we needed to come up with a design that represented Laysick as best as possible. With a skyline of London superimposed in the London text, and the use of gold in the shoulder pads and as the base colour for the jagged camo pattern, these are definitely a crowd pleaser!

This design is based on Flexx 2. The main difference with this compared to the Flexx is that the background triangular shapes on the body and the arm are facing down from the top of the jersey rather than up from the bottom.

Shock, formerly Shockwave, approached Laysick at the beginning of 2008 wanting a fresh new logo for the revamped team, after an uncertain future when their owner sold their CPL spot.  The team wanted to continue with their look of using red and black for the beginning of the season with the aim to change it as the year progressed.

The Shock jersey was the first that Laysick Custom Design Lab (LCDL) took on after completing the design of the garment without prints.  So it was as much a test for us and what better way than with one of Europe’s premier professional teams.

Based on the Flexx template with no major changes other than a wealth of sponsors, their jersey is a great example of LCDL’s simplicity.
